Lillian's List of NC PAC will be hosting several trainings for our featured candidates to help prepare them and their campaign staff for the 2012 election season! The Lillian's List Action Fund will also present training opportunities to all progressive women currently running for public office or who are interested in running for office in the future. Lillian's List Action Fund Advanced Fundraising Training (facilitated by Stephanie Austin)

This training will give progressive women the fundraising skills they need to win elections. The training will expand on basic campaign fundraising techniques, with a focus on how to get started with whom to call, how to make a hard ask, and how much to ask for.

Lillian's List Candidate Training: Powerful Public Speaking (facilitated by Angie Fletcher)

This day of training will focus on making every speech a powerful and memorable one. You have honed your message—now you can polish your delivery. This session will ensure that your nonverbal communication (body language, energy, vocal inflection and pacing) enhances and underscores your message.
Executive Repertory, LLC will deliver this session. Executive Rep specializes in the design and delivery of experiential, hands-on coaching and workshops that train clients to communicate with authenticity, clarity, and meaning. The facilitators are professional actors, directors, and educators who are experienced in theatre, film, and television. In addition, they have extensive backgrounds in business, law, education, and corporate training.

This day of training will focus on how to tell your life story and form a meaningful connection with voters based on shared values and beliefs. The session will focus on understanding what a campaign message is and is not, how to effectively communicate your values and biography, and an introduction into the different methods to share that story with voters.
